Cathy Ortiz had recently lost her job truck driving, but that did not stop her from enjoying a bit of gambling. The gambling paid off in a big way when she went on an almost week long gambling winning streak.
“When things are down, something good happens. I never expected this good,” said Ortiz to KUSA. The lucky run started on Sunday for Ortiz. That is when she won $1,260 playing slot machines at a Colorado casino.
On Monday, her luck continued when she bought a scratch off ticket from the Colorado Lottery and won $500. The scratch off win allowed Ortiz to then buy some Powerball tickets, which led to the biggest prize of the week. read more
